Program Overview
Kingdom Education
Kingdom education is defined, from scripture, by Glen Schultz as
At Springbrook Christian Academy, a Kingdom education is designed to train children according to their specific abilities so that a child will be empowered to live a life characterized by love, trust and obedience to Christ. Together, with parents and pastors, our goal is to holistically disciple children in a biblical environment so that they may know and be known by God. We recognize that a solid foundation is built when the same truths and values are taught in the home, church, and school, and we will walk with each student on their faith journey, recognizing that a relationship with Christ is the most important gift of education. “a life-long, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a child to Christ, building a child up in Christ, and equipping a child to serve Christ!”
Hybrid Learning Model
Springbrook Christian Academy is designed to combine the best of private school and homeschool to foster a love for Jesus in everything. Hybrid, covenant, and college concept instructional models are combined to provide a rich, Christ-centered, environment for students to be actively involved in the learning process. To accomplish this, we offer 3 campus learning days (at Springbrook) and 2 branch learning days (to happen at home OR through Christ Church’s Homeschool Enrichment Ministry).
This well-designed, high quality instructional model allows students/families to have additional flexibility for their educational experience and overall family schedule. Teachers will cover the majority of new concept learning on campus and will provide academic activities during branch learning days that are integrated into overall learning objectives. If at home, parents, or a designee, provide age-appropriate supervision and/or guidance during these days. If participating in the Homeschool Enrichment Ministry at Christ Church, a facilitator will provide the same. These days will also allow further exploration into your child’s unique interests. A primary focus of Springbrook Christian Academy, in using this model, is to allow students to have more time with their family and to become more self-directed and take responsibility for their learning. A breakdown of the model is given below:
