Who we are

We exist to see students transformed by the truth of God’s Word.

Mission

Our mission is to equip students to be transformed by the truth of God’s Word through a partnership with Christian parents and a meaningful, Christ-centered learning environment that nurtures SEEDS:

Seeking truth,
Exhibiting compassion,
Embracing community,
Developing responsibility and
Striving for transformation.

Our Philosophy

Using a combination of Classical and Charlotte Mason philosophies, homeschool students at Springbrook Christian Academy will experience an individualized, holistic education with a focus on the whole child.  Students will be engaged in a Christ-centered learning environment that fosters critical thinking skills and will be nurtured to a love of learning that is lifelong, self-motivated, and discerning in truth, goodness, and beauty in the world around them.

Purpose

Springbrook Christian Academy brings an alternative to traditional schooling options to the Wellsboro Area.  We see the need for an accessible, biblically faithful education that includes parental involvement and partnership with experienced and encouraging teachers who desire to meet the learning needs of each student. With an intentional approach to a holistic education, we are offering the balance of structure, flexibility, and social interaction through a Kingdom education.

As an extension of the Christian home and church, Springbrook Academy exists to:

  • Provide homeschool students with an alternative to current public and private school educational models

  • Recognize that a solid foundation is built when the same truths and values are taught in the home, church, and school

  • Train students in the truth with a Biblically faithful education

  • Instill a deep, abiding love for Christ and His Word

  • Create a solid moral character in students

  • Educate the whole child; intellectually, spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically

  • Individualize learning where children are supported to learn in harmony with their unique personalities and abilities

  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Cultivate lifelong, self-motivated learners

  • Graduate students who have been transformed and exhibit the fruit of the spirit

  • Prepare students for further educational and vocational opportunities to the glory of God

Statement of Faith

In partnership with Christ Church, Wellsboro, we do hereby adopt their Statement of Faith to guide Springbrook Christian Academy.  This Statement of Faith covers our beliefs with respect to key elements including The Holy Scriptures, The Godhead, The Person and Work of Christ, The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit, The Total Depravity of Man, The Gospel, Man’s Response to the Gospel, Man’s Inheritance Through the Gospel, Sanctification, The Church, Church Ordinances, The Personality of Satan, and The Future.

It is the conviction of Springbrook Christian Academy that the beliefs detailed in the statement of faith are faithful representations of the Bible’s teaching on these matters. Parents and students must agree to support Springbrook Christian Academy in teaching these beliefs. For all students, at least one parent must be a member (or the equivalent) of an evangelical, Bible-believing church.
